pictured above is the sweed flag this is what you will be looking for. most of us have been to dumont before but for those who have not you take i-15 north towards vegas you exit at kellbaker road in the city of baker (worlds largest thermometer) this is your last chance for gas and groceries take kellbaker road west out of town approx 30 miles till you see the little dunes of dumont there should be alot of rvs on your right hand side about 200 ft off the road turn in at the kiosk we usually go straight in but you never know till we get there start looking for the flag i will have it up first thing fri the 13th in the morning it will be raised just below a american flag that will be me hope to see ya all there any questions or trouble finding us can call me @ 714-863-2580 tim

We have not had any luck securing a ride for Sheila out to Dumont on Sat morning so it appears we will be coming out then. Blackie and Eric have also expressed an interest in going to Anderson or Means dry lake, also on Sat morning. I throw this out to inquire if perhaps the group would consider one of these (closer)beautiful destinations!!! Dumont could end up being an Easter destination when the trip could be longer for everyone. Your comments will be anxiously awaited!!!!!!

Me and Dylan are planning to go to Dumont on the 12th to enjoy as much time in the desert as we possibly can, but I have a problem. My lovely wife Sheila can't go until Fri night. So, I'm looking for one of you upstanding gentlemen to give her a lift out there on Fri night or Sat morning if anyone is going then. There will be a delivery fee paid if this is possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whatever goes on between here and Dumont is entirely up to her (and you of course)! Please respond. So we ( the metros and the shrameks i guess) are leavin early on the 29th and staying til the 2nd more or less. If anyone is leavin earlier and can secure a spot @Occotillo Rd. please let us know otherwise we may end up at a slightly diff. site, bring a $20 dollar clean gift for the exchange everyone inclusive and start postin now so we know how big to make the ringu.

GLAMIS THANKSGIVING

The Leppeks are planning to arrive wed. morning. We have a friend (Ray) who is there already & we asked him to "save" a large area for our group. Turn in right at wash 13 and go to the right. He has a 4 door dark gray dodge truck with a 30 ft. weekend warrior hitch trailer & he has a b/w checkered flag with a blue light on top of his pole. The trailer has alot of stickers on the outside of the back ramp door. His rig is in the background of this picture.

Thanksgiving @ Glamis

The Salisbury's will be leaving early Tuesday morning. We'll start at wash 10 and try to find a good spot. As soon as were set up I'll call the #'s we have and start relaying the location. As far as the pot luck we will provide mash potatoes, gravy, salad and some pies. See you at the dunes....

THANKSGIVING TRIP PLANS

Ok well it looks like the group is a little split up this year i will be heading out to glamis with shrameks,copelands,salsburys and dave and tina. These are the only ones ive talked to and confirmed with. We will be camping somewhere between wash 10 and 14 depending on how full it is when we get there. I will be heading out on wed morning and arriving in glamis around 10am to put up the sweed flag. Shrameks will be right behind me so i should be first to arrive and find a good spot. I will call the aforementioned people to give exact location once we find it. If you are planning on coming with us please call me or post a comment so i know to call you to give exact location. If anyone will be there before me to find a spot let me know where you are so i can find you. For those of you going somewhere else put up a post and maybe other people with your same destination can find you be safe and have fun, see ya.

Another note we will be having thanksgiving dinner potluck so bring a dish. Please post a comment as to what you are bringing to the feast so we dont duplicate. I dont think we need 5 turkeys so whos bringing one or something else.

Halloween Ride

Are you up for Ocotillo @ Halloween week-end 10/31 - 11/02?

Suggestions of camping at Pole-Line Road has come up. Fun riding over there but one concern is that pole-line road attracts riders in and around camp with dust and noise 24/7. //amen brother said TM

If you like changing campsite; how does next to the airfield sound to ya? Lots of fun riding there as well and close to all classic destinations including pole-line. Let me know what you think!.
