We the Copelands will be headed out to pole line on Fri, Dec. 11th early evening to have some fun in the desert.

We will be bringing a few new folks to our group, big Steve and his girlfriend Nikki and a few of his "crew" will be joining us (they're Ocotillo veterans) and my brother Chris may come out to camp with our fabulous group. Hope to see some of the usual Ocotillo Club regs!!!!!

Hey guys! I am happy to report that the YZ450f sold fast! I also have a 2001 xr80, (2) 2001 TTR125's, 2005 CRF 450r (super clean), and another 2005 YZ450f up for sale. Not to use our blog like craigslist, ha ha. But riding season is here and these are good running bikes that I would love to give someone we know a good deal on. Dave & Tina (+ who knows how many of our kids) are planning to come.
We have been there several summers (although not recently).
It is great to camp right at the oceans edge and have the sand dunes right behind you.
We also bring a wave runner and launch right off the beach.
It is usually overcast most of the morning - afternoon; So no worries about sunburn.
Looking Forward to a GREAT TIME with FRIENDS !!!!!!!! : )

School's out for summer (June 18) so the Copelands first trip is the following weekend, Fri, June 26 through Mon. June 29. We are gonna go check out Pismo Beach (Oceana Dunes) with our friend Nikki and her son Jake (16 yrs old). Would love for some of the regulars to join us if you ever wanted to check out Pismo. pictured above is the sweed flag this is what you will be looking for. most of us have been to dumont before but for those who have not you take i-15 north towards vegas you exit at kellbaker road in the city of baker (worlds largest thermometer) this is your last chance for gas and groceries take kellbaker road west out of town approx 30 miles till you see the little dunes of dumont there should be alot of rvs on your right hand side about 200 ft off the road turn in at the kiosk we usually go straight in but you never know till we get there start looking for the flag i will have it up first thing fri the 13th in the morning it will be raised just below a american flag that will be me hope to see ya all there any questions or trouble finding us can call me @ 714-863-2580 tim

He has a 4 door dark gray dodge truck with a 30 ft. weekend warrior hitch trailer & he has a b/w checkered flag with a blue light on top of his pole. Ok well it looks like the group is a little split up this year i will be heading out to glamis with shrameks,copelands,salsburys and dave and tina. These are the only ones ive talked to and confirmed with. We will be camping somewhere between wash 10 and 14 depending on how full it is when we get there. I will be heading out on wed morning and arriving in glamis around 10am to put up the sweed flag. Shrameks will be right behind me so i should be first to arrive and find a good spot. I will call the aforementioned people to give exact location once we find it. If you are planning on coming with us please call me or post a comment so i know to call you to give exact location. If anyone will be there before me to find a spot let me know where you are so i can find you. For those of you going somewhere else put up a post and maybe other people with your same destination can find you be safe and have fun, see ya.

Another note we will be having thanksgiving dinner potluck so bring a dish. Please post a comment as to what you are bringing to the feast so we dont duplicate. I dont think we need 5 turkeys so whos bringing one or something else.

Suggestions of camping at Pole-Line Road has come up. Fun riding over there but one concern is that pole-line road attracts riders in and around camp with dust and noise 24/7. //amen brother said TM

If you like changing campsite; how does next to the airfield sound to ya? Lots of fun riding there as well and close to all classic destinations including pole-line. Let me know what you think!.

there are 2 ways you can go from the hwy 8 see above map i understand from dale the road is a little nicer this way but may take a little longer to come down the 8 for direction from the 10 fwy see directions and map below you can click on image for larger view

To get there take 60 Fwy/I-10 east to 111/86 south. Stay on 111 after the highways split. Best place to top off your gas tank(s) is at the ARCO near the split. Continue along the Salton Sea to Niland.then ref to map above
